A proposal logo for
"Amiga Technologies GmHb"
The new Amiga division of ESCOM AG
23rd June, 1995
by Adrian De Luca
After analysing many Amiga Users opinions of the future logo for Escom AG's
Amiga Technologies division on the Internet, I have come up with this
proposal for the new Amiga Technologies logo for which I believe would best
represent the Amiga in the future.
I found may users still defined the Amiga by the Check mark, introduced
when the first Amiga was released, the A1000. I also found that many did
not approve of the new "orange" triangle (Christmas Tree) logo introduced
by Escom. Therefore I propose my new logo which incorporates a blend
between then both.
I believe this logo is appropriate in that it holds traditional value
for all Amiga users (The check mark) which inspires the Amiga's creative
flair vibrant personality. And it incorporates a new element in the Amiga
from the new "Amiga Technologies" in which the Amiga was reborn (The triangle
A). This logo will signify a new beginning for our great machine, as the
Amiga will again capture the hearts of millions around the globe!
Included in this arhive are two versions of the logo, one in the ever
popular rainbow colours and the other in a mono red colour. I produced
the mono-coloured logo on Dr. Peter Kittel's statement that Escom were
interested in mono-colour logo's so as to bring production costs down.
